Cut Flower Seedlings and Ideas
Mountain Spirit Garden specializes in growing unique sun-loving cut flower seedlings. It’s our goal to preserve and enhance the environment through the responsible and sustainable cultivation and management of plants. This involves integrating green practices into all aspects of horticulture. Growing plants not only provides food, medicine, and beauty for human use but also actively contributes to a healthier, more resilient planet.
Selecting varieties that are hard to find in nurseries, they are grown organically, without harmful pesticides, and using compostable tags, trays and plantable pots. This year we are using Kelp Pots, sustainably sourced, plastic-free, and peat-free. And our seedlings love all the nutrients they provide. For more information on these incredible pots, click here:

Spring Flower Plants and Plan Kits are available to pre-order. Also Flats of 18 3”-pots are available to pre-order only - limit 2 flats. Plants should be available for local pickup (Ben Lomond) around the first week of April. Notifications will be sent out when plants are ready for pickup. Last day to pre-order will be January 31, 2026.
Plants for Summer planting will be available for pickup the first week of June. Last day to pre-order is March 31, 2026

Spring Flower Kits
Our Spring and Summer Plant and Plan Kits are designed to fit a 4’ x 8’ garden bed (or tucked anywhere you have sun) to plant Spring, Summer & Fall.
Each Kit includes 35 premium seedlings, carefully chosen for stunning cut flowers come spring! Included is a description of each plant, suggested layout, how to plant & harvest for long-lasting blooms, making your experience easy and stress free.
And - we are organic and eco-friendly, using the best “plastic free” pots, trays and labels to protect the environment.
Just in case the plants decide not to cooperate, we may have to substitute species/varieties according to available inventory.

Kit #1 consists of a selection of 35 annual and perennial seedlings ready to plant. A suggested layout and a detailed description of each plant is included along with instructions on planting and harvesting. Plants included in this Kit are: Aster ‘Valkyrie Yellow’, ** Baby’s Breath ‘Snowflake’, **Nicotiana ‘Mauve’, ** Paparver ‘Laurens Grape’, Pelargonium ‘Grey Lady Plymouth’, Ranunculus ‘Merlot’, Scabiosa ‘Starflower’, Snapdragon ‘Potomac Appleblossom’, Strawflower ‘Cranberry Rose’…
**Note: Sometimes plants can be harmful to humans, pets and livestock so care must be taken when handling these. This kit contains four such plants. For a toxic free kit, select Kit #2. It’s toxic free and includes some edibles, too!

A suggested layout and a detailed description of each plant is included along with instructions on planting and harvesting. Plants included in this Kit are: ++ Bachelor’s Button ‘Black Magic’, Cenolophium denudatum, Cosmos ‘Kiiro’, Didiscus ‘Lady Pink’, ++Feverfew ‘White Wonder’, Gilia ‘Bird’s Eye’, Godetia ‘Farewell to Spring’, ++Marigold ‘White Swan’’, ++Persian Cress, , ++Snapdragon ‘Potomac Lavender’, Verbena ‘Brazilian Vervain’.
++Note: Some plants in this kit are either edible and/or used for medicinal purposes.
