Cosmos sulphureus - Vigorous native plants flower over a long season, are tall but open and airy, so plants are less likely to falling over. Semi-double and double orange and gold blooms are 1-2” wide, have a short vase life dropping petals after 5 days. Can be used to create natural dyes for fiber and fabrics. Provide food source for bees and butterflies and other pollinators. Self-seed. Drought tolerant, deer resistant.
